Priyanka Korabandi (26 Year old) who is suffering with Chronic Kidney Disease.
My dear beloved friends,
We are trying to gather funds for Priyanka Korabandi (26 Year old) who is suffering with Chronic Kidney Disease. Your gracious donations will help to support her treatment.
Priyanka Korabandi, is a 23-year-old B-Pharmacy graduate who is extremely passionate about her education and wants to be a postgraduate and pursue career in Pharmacy. She is one of the people who has a photographic memory and can describe any given scenarios or memories with ease.
Few years ago, the family of three met with a road accident where the doctors doing the treatment and surgery discovered that she has an underlying condition of kidney disease. She is suffering with a condition called FSGS (Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis) in which the small filters inside the kidneys (glomeruli) that filter the waste from blood gets destroyed. This is an irreversible process as the damaged filters cannot be recovered and the disease kept on progressing.
Last week, she got admitted in a critical life-threatening condition at the hospital ICU because of shortness of breath and anemia. At this point, her kidneys are 97% destroyed and not filtering the blood anymore. This kidney failure has only one solution, is to get dialysis and then get the kidneys replaced.
Both her parents are teachers for deaf and dumb students. They dedicated their last 20 years of their life solely to run a non-profit school for the disabled and teaching them till 10th standard. There are about 40+ disabled students who rely on them for food, accommodation, and education. Since their career is to run a non-profit, they are now having an impossible time to get their own daughter treated.
Kidney disease did not stop Priyanka from going to college to complete her bachelor’s in pharmacy. It did not stop her from trying to achieve her dreams. I believe the disease should not stop her now to live a life she dreamt of like rest of us. I know her very closely and I can sincerely tell that she is a fighter and always says “I’m alright” even at tough situations. Please support and help Priyanka for the medical expenses to get the dialysis and kidney transplantation.
GMM Trust will help Priyanka Korabandi to achieve this medical funding. All the donations to the GMM Trust will be utilized for the patient's medical expenses and we are building the website gmmtrust.org to help people like Priyanka Korabandi to meet their medical needs. The website will air on March 15th 2023 and will be a platform where all the donations are publicly disclosed and the donors can also request a video call from the suffering families to interact and shine them with some hope.
