About Moshe Garapati

Mr. Garapati Moshe was born on 15th April 1961 in a small town in Guntur, India. He was a prodigy with motivation towards higher education and he finished his Masters in Arts, Masters in Education, and Bachelors of Law. A man of knowledge, he started his career as a teacher of Mathematics in a public school and created a path for many of the younger generations. Over 35 years of being an educator across many public schools, he did not just instruct the academics but also molded the ethical and moral values of over 3000 young minds.

Mr. Garapati has a wife and two sons to whom he was devoted to making their lives a happy place by providing them with whatever support they needed for their ambitions. He was very self-disciplined, punctual, and a forward thinker. He always follows his morning routine to go for a walk and also has a strict diet plan and no other bad habits. He was an inspiration for the entire family where he was the go-to person for anyone in the family if they needed advice on their life matters and legal issues.

During the end of 2016, He experienced a lot of health complications with back pain, low blood cell counts, and fatigue. Over time, the symptoms were drastically worsened as he could not walk properly due to back pain, extreme weakness, and some renal dysfunction. Initially, He was incorrectly diagnosed as a patient with Spinal tuberculosis as there was no specialized doctor capable to diagnose this disease in the entire region. None of the medications worked on him. He reached a life-threatening stage of this unknown illness that no one could figure out.

Unfortunately, In 2017, He was diagnosed with a rare incurable cancer called Multiple Myeloma (Cancer of plasma cells or Bone Marrow) at stage 3. During diagnosis, he was completely bedridden and had to get treated for over 2 months as an in-patient at a hospital for all the symptoms and infections he had. After 6 months of treatment and a bone-marrow transplant, he could able to finally walk and have some physical strength to do his own personal needs. He continued to take chemotherapy every day and with weekly high-dose chemotherapy as the disease is progressing towards terminal stages.

After battling cancer for 5 years, Mr. Moshe Garapati passed away on 15th March 2021 with his wife and younger son by his side. He was very fortunate to have his wife supporting all these horrendous years serving him like a mother and a nurse.

Cancer did not stop him from going to school and educating children. Cancer did not stop him from being a loving father and caring husband. Also, It did not stop him from being an inspiration. He fought cancer like a warrior dealing with a ton of infections, hundreds of hospital admissions, and thousands of needle punctures over the span of 5 years. Knowing that there is no cure and with constant suffering from pain, he used to tell his sons and wife to not worry about his situation. He never let his agony stop his sons from achieving their dreams.

Finally, He is free from all the misery and pain. May his soul rest in peace!
